Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Due to the implications arising from COVID-19 and the recent advice from the New Zealand government, we have unfortunately had to temporarily close our storefront activity until further notice.

Our stores will remain temporarily closed as we continue to monitor government and travel advice. We will reopen stores in stages across the country when significant international travel has resumed. 

Don't worry, our website will remain active for Travel Money Transfers and Cash Passport reloads. Plus, you can now send online with MoneyGram.

MoneyGram sends are available online. It's easy to create an account, and you can be sending to family and friends around the world within minutes, no need to visit a store!*

MoneyGram receive are not available via Travel Money NZ as our stores are closed. To find an agent that is open, please call MoneyGram directly on 0800 444 630.

*Subject to agent operating hours and compliance with regulatory requirements; in minutes service excludes send to account service. For send to account service, timing of funds availability depends on destination country and is subject to banking hours and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Travel Money Transfers:

Travel Money Transfers are still available via our website to help you transfer money to and from another country. If you don't already have an account, you can sign up online.

Cash Passport:

You can continue to login to your account to check your balance, view your transaction history, reload your card and manage your travel money.

Unfortunately, we have had to temporarily pause the purchase of all foreign cash due to restrictions placed upon us during this unpredented time. We recommend using the online cash out process to return these funds to your nominated bank account. 

To cash out, login to your account and select Transfer money > Cash out to a bank account.

You can still load your card online! Log in to your Cash Passport account and follow the prompts to reload.

You can still send with MoneyGram online! Create an account and you can be sending within minutes.
